Decker Shado's Review: Dawn of the Planet of the Apes: Long enough, right? Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is the next movie in the Planet of the Apes series, which began with Rise of the Planet of the Apes. The Planet of the Apes movie series was rebooted by Tim Burton, even though there was only one movie in it. It's still a new series. Dawn, on the other hand, has a similar story line to Battle for the Planet of the Apes, which is interesting. If they keep going this way, the next movie will take place 2000 years from now. I don't think that will happen, but I can dream.
